Off-the-shoulder Wedding Dresses — 2010 Trends

off-the-shoulder wedding dresses

Say so-long to strapless and frame your dolletage with an arm-grazing neckline. This alternative to sleeves has been a favorite of designers like Angel Sanchez, Maggie Sottero and Reem Acra. From ribbon wrapped to simple and sheer, this trend is a great way to achieve a modest wedding look that is still lovely and unique. By Cari Wolfert

Off-the-shoulder neckline sits below the shoulders to showcase a woman’s collarbone and shoulders, with sleeves that cover part of the upper arm. This style is superflattering to medium- or full-chested women, meanwhile, it’s also good for pear-shaped women.
But if you’ve got fuller arms and are uncomfortable with baring your shoulders, a portrait neckline will be a better choice.

I bought an off the shoulder dress and love it. I bought the DB’s version of the Alfred Angelo 1148. It is comfortable and flattering to my curves. I am excited to wear it, but still trying to figure out the best hair style for this dress. Any suggestions?

All the dresses are very beautiful. I prefer off the shoulder neckline dress particularly portrait style.

The portrait cut draws attention to your shoulders and face.
