Wedding Dresses Necklines
Sweetheart

A low-cut neckline shaped like the top half of a heart, accentuating the decolletage. This may or may not be strapless depending on the designer of your dress. And it works well in accentuating cleavage and if your are already well-endowed.
Asymmetric & One-Shoulder

Asymmetrical neckline appears different on either side of the centre front, one example is a one-shoulder design. One-shoulder works with a single strap coming across the front and is a very unique style requiring specific taste. It emphasizes the collarbone but should be avoided if you possess broad shoulders.
Off-the-Shoulder

Off-the-shoulder neckline sits below the shoulders, with sleeve-like straps that cover part of the upper arm. Shows off your collarbone and shoulders.
This is generally a safe neckline selection and works well if you are already well-endowed and/or have a pear-shaped body. You should avoid it is you already have broad shoulders and/or full arms as this neckline would only work to accentuate them further.
Strapless

Very popular style that features a straight or shaped line that sweeps across the chest. As the name indicates, the neckline is strapless.
Works well if you are already well-endowed and/or are blessed with rather beautiful shoulders and noticeable collarbones but you will want to avoid this neckline if you are rather small-chested.
Halter

The halter features straps that wrap around the neck and generally features a low back. The design emphasizes the shoulders and good to use if you are tall and have broad shoulders, otherwise avoid if you have narrow shoulders or are very well endowed. Besides, it is best worn with minimal or no bra.
High Neck

A band collar that extends up the neck. The mandarin version of this style is taken from traditional Asian dress, and doesn’t quite meet at the centre front.
V-Neck

This neckline features a V-shaped front that is ideal for brides who have a medium chest and want to accentuate cleavage. The plunge of the V varies depending on the dress designer and works well for full figured women or those possessing the hour glass body shape.
Scoop

This classic U-shaped neckline is usually cut low and continues its rounded feature at the back of the dress. A very popular style that is great on most figure types.
